About Erin
The story behind the songs

Erin Oakley is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader based in Madison, Wisconsin. She writes and records across multiple genres—from contemporary Christian to country, pop, and collaborations with Christian hip-hop artists. Erin loves performing in venues both inside and outside the church.
Her journey began quietly, writing songs that remained unheard by even her closest family until a pivotal moment in 2006, when she won a competition as a student at Ripon College to open for seven-time Grammy Award winner Al Jarreau. This breakthrough not only unveiled her talent but also led to a special invitation to perform at his Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony a decade later, shortly before his passing.
With festival appearances at Brat Fest, LifeFest, OneFest, and Faith Jam, and having shared stages with Al Jarreau, Peter Furler and Phil Joel of the original Newsboys, as well as Christian hip-hop artists Rip and Nicky Gracious, Erin brings contagious joy and authenticity to every performance.
Whether leading worship, playing a festival, or sharing songs in an intimate setting like a retreat or house show, she connects through honest storytelling, faith-filled music, and strong, memorable melodies. Erin is also available for speaking engagements.
Before moving to Nashville in 2013, Erin performed more than 50 shows a year with the Wisconsin Dells–based country band Swifkick. During her time in Nashville, she worked in an office overlooking Music Row, led worship at a church, and sang in the indie pop-rock band Rutherford. She has been invited to sing at events around the country and has appeared in numerous songwriter showcases, including performances at the iconic Bluebird Café.
At the heart of Erin's artistry is a message of hope, faith, and the lessons learned along the way—making her not just a performer, but an authentic and relatable storyteller whose songs resonate deeply with listeners.
Her debut album Dreams & Melodies, released in 2013, was self-produced and is available everywhere. She is currently working on her sophomore album, Stories & Songs, a project shaped by the past decade of music and moments.
Erin also serves as Casting Director and Associate Producer for the feature film To Everything After, where she appears in a small role and performs her original song "Out of Love."
She lives on a small farm with her husband, Mike, their two daughters, and a handful of very well-loved cats.
